Membership Requirements ASWA membership is available to individuals in all areas of accounting and finance including public accounting, private industry, non-profit groups, governmental
agencies and academia. Members must also join a local chapter if they reside within 50 miles of an established chapter. Members not within 50 miles of a chapter may
join as a member at large. Membership classifications are:
- Regular:
Persons having a bachelor's degree or those actively engaged in accounting or finance with at least two years of accounting experience or those holding a CPA certificate. Annual dues:
National $104. Chapter: $20.00
- Associate / Student:
Persons actively engaged in accounting or finance with less than two years experience or persons regularly enrolled in an
accredited post secondary school majoring in accounting or a related field. Annual dues: National $34.Chapter: $5.50
- Affiliate:
Persons not actively engaged in accounting or finance but having a substantial interest in the profession. Annual dues: National $104. Chapter: $20.00
